Nirmala (Norma Berrios-Rooney) has been practicing yoga since the age of 16.  For as long as she could remember, she was always interested in her purpose and the deeper meaning of life.  For the past 16 years she has immersed herself in Self Study with her Guru, Manorama, director of Sanskrit Studies and Luminous Soul Method.   
 
Nirmala holds a 200 hour certification in the Hatha/Vinyasa yoga method through Laughing Lotus School in NYC since 2004.  She teaches a more traditional style of asana which focuses on alignment and breath awareness.  Her classes often include, pranayama exercises and end with a 10 minute meditation.  
 
Nirmala also runs the operations for the Falls General Store and is the Director of Falls River Yoga. Her amazing teachers assist in running the studio - providing this wonderful Seva (selfless service) so that the local community can experience the benefits of yoga.
Sarah Parker-Givens E-RYT completed Max Strom's 200 hour Way of Life Teacher Training in 2010 and has been teaching since then. In addition, she has studied vinyasa yoga extensively with Alicia Rambo-Wozniak and the anatomy of movement with Jamie Elmer.
 
In 2013, Sarah completed Therapeutic Yoga for Seniors, a week-long teacher training intensive at Duke Integrative Medicine. Sarah's focus is on the healing of the body, mind and spirit through breath centered movement. Emphasis is placed on deep full breathing as the key to a transformative practice.
 
Sarah welcomes all students, believes in teaching with kindness and respects where each body is at its present moment.
Patrick´s interest in yoga began while studying at Colorado College. Immediately recognizing its potential to help improve his life, he also knew deep inside that it is an amazing tool for remaining agile as one ages. He imagined himself as an old man, and a flexible and calm yogi. After studying a 200 hr. training based in the practice of Iyengar and the philosophy of Patanjali, his teaching career began when a friend asked him to cover her classes. That was over a decade ago and he has kept practicing, growing, and sharing. The next major step on the journey was studying a 200 hr. Teacher Certification with YogArt. Today his classes are considered Vinyasa Flow, influenced by every yoga student and teacher he meets. They are spiritually based, and are open to all levels, and he gives variations of postures according to every persons needs. You will find a comfortable, non competitive, yet challenging class staying true to the foundation of yoga. With whole hearted gratitude Om Om Om.
Leader Teacher Trainer and Co-Founder of Yogart, Internacional Yoga School (RYS). She studied Integral Yoga at The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center (India), and continued her studies in Vinyasa Flow and Prenatal Yoga in San Francisco. She is an Aerial Yoga Teacher (Samadhi Yoga, Perú-Puerto Rico), and a Yoga Teacher for Children (Childlight, Burlington, VT).

Her teaching style incorporates her studies in Yoga and different areas such as philosophy, Expressive Arts and Ancient Traditional Spirituality. Her inspiration is to share the benefits of Yoga as an art of transformation that can recreate life.

Megann O'Malley grew up in Rutland, Vermont and moved to Northfield in May of 2016. She received her 1000 hour Yoga Teacher certification with Bikram Yoga College of India in 2012. She taught full time for two years to truly immerse herself in the teaching process. Here in Northfield, Megann blends poses from the traditional Bikram Yoga class (without the heat) as well as Iyengar influenced poses, so that after the full hour your entire body is moving better, feeling better, and you are more at peace. Megann believes that yoga is for every 'body', regardless of age or ability. She has taught adaptive yoga, disabled veterans, children, seniors, beginners and advanced practitioners. Megann's style of teaching can be described as respectful of the process, while having fun learning the process.
